Spring Gong Mei

This Tribute White Tea offers a comforting and approachable profile, with gentle notes of dried apricots and a hint of sweet hay. Its smooth, medium body leaves a pleasant, lingering sweetness without. It leans fruity, hay and sweet.

Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.

Grown in Fujian, China from the Fuding Dabaicha cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2012 harvest.
