Aged Fuding Shoumei

This aged Shou Mei offers a comforting profile with deep, earthy notes reminiscent of damp wood and dried hay. Expect a gentle sweetness, a smooth body, and hints of dried dates, culminating in a mell. It leans earthy, woody and sweet.

Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.

Grown in Fujian, China. This batch is from the 2017 harvest.
