About This Tea
What does White Peony taste like?
This delicate white tea unfurls with subtle whispers of fresh hay and sweet honey, grounded by a hint of warm, baked bread. Its gentle complexity offers a refreshingly soft infusion, perfect for momen. It leans vegetal, honeyed and sweet.
How should I brew White Peony?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does White Peony come from?
Grown in Fujian, China from the Baimudan (tea) cultivar. This batch is from the Spring harvest.
How much does White Peony cost?
Starts at $8.54 from Nannuoshan, or about $0.17/g. A 50g package gets you around 8 gongfu sessions at ~6 g each, which works out to about $1.02 per session. Explore more white teas on Teadar.
