About This Tea
What does Blazing Heavens taste like?
This aged Fuding Shou Mei unfurls with a rich, jammy sweetness reminiscent of prunes, muscatel grapes, and brown sugar. Undertones of hot summer forests, old books, and wet stone provide a grounding e. It leans fruity, earthy and sweet.
How should I brew Blazing Heavens?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does Blazing Heavens come from?
Grown in Fujian, China from the Fuding Dabaicha cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2013 harvest.
How much does Blazing Heavens cost?
Starts at $7.90 from Mei Leaf, or about $0.36/g. A 15g package gets you around 3 gongfu sessions at ~6 g each, which works out to about $2.16 per session. Explore more white teas on Teadar.
