About This Tea
What does Yue Guang Bai taste like?
This distinctive white tea opens with a robust, subtly woody presence before transforming into a truly delicate infusion. Sweet corn and creamy butter notes provide a comforting base, beautifully lift. It leans sweet, floral and woody.
How should I brew Yue Guang Bai?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does Yue Guang Bai come from?
Grown in Yunnan, China from the Yunkang 10 cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2024 harvest.
