About This Tea

What does 2021 Zhenghe Gong Mei taste like?
This aged Gong Mei unfolds with a gentle presence, revealing meadow and oak notes alongside the warmth of baked pecans. As the session progresses, a rich maple character emerges, complemented by sweet. It leans floral, nutty and sweet.
How should I brew 2021 Zhenghe Gong Mei?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does 2021 Zhenghe Gong Mei come from?
Grown in Fujian, China from the Qun Ti Zhong cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2021 harvest. The leaves got a light roast after picking.
