About This Tea
What does taste like?
This uniquely aged Darjeeling white tea, harvested in spring 2022, unfolds with a delicate floral bouquet, reminiscent of geranium, which gracefully deepens in character. Smooth and supple on the pala. It leans floral, fruity and smooth.
How should I brew ?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does come from?
Grown in Darjeeling, Assam, India from the SY1240 cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2022 harvest.
How much does cost?
Starts at $28.18 from Tea Gardenia, or about $0.56/g. A 50g package gets you around 8 gongfu sessions at ~6 g each, which works out to about $3.36 per session. Explore more white teas on Teadar.
