About This Tea
What does Silver Needle taste like?
This exquisite Silver Needle unveils a captivating aroma of baked doughnuts and honeysuckle from the dry leaf. The pale yellow-gold liquor offers a thick, creamy mouthfeel, balancing sweet honeysuckle. It leans floral, sweet and nutty.
How should I brew Silver Needle?
Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 3–5 min. For gongfu, use 4–5 g per 100 ml, 20–40 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Pretty forgiving. Oversteeping by a bit won't ruin it the way it would with a green.
Where does Silver Needle come from?
Grown in Fujian, China. This batch is from the Spring 2025 harvest.
How much does Silver Needle cost?
Starts at $26.00 from One River Tea, or about $0.88/g. A 25g package gets you around 4 gongfu sessions at ~6 g each, which works out to about $5.28 per session. Explore more white teas on Teadar.
