Light Roast Spring Mengding Huangya

This exquisite yellow tea offers a uniquely mellow and sweet profile, a testament to its special 'men huang' fermentation process. Expect delightful nutty undertones complemented by a subtle, comforti. It leans sweet, nutty and mellow.

Water around 75–85 °C (167–185 °F). In a mug, steep 2–3 min. For gongfu, use 3–4 g per 100 ml, 20–30 s steeps. You'll get to see how the flavor changes across multiple rounds. Think of it like a more mellow green tea. Keep the water cool to preserve the sweetness.

Grown in Sichuan, China from the Mengshan 9 cultivar. This batch is from the Spring 2023 harvest. The leaves got a light roast after picking.
